Annoying nuisance, or what not to do in smart toilets in Europe
To do this, a special deodorant is sprayed inside the booths, and then the interior space is dried with hot air. The self-cleaning function is activated automatically when a person leaves the booth. However, if Europeans know about this, then people from the CIS do not know it. Hence-and a lot of funny, and sometimes unpleasant cases.
What happened
A tourist from Russia decided to visit such a smart toilet. He paid for the entrance and stepped into a clean booth. Unfortunately, the shiny surfaces and pleasant smell did not convince him of cleanliness: out of habit, he climbed on the rim of the toilet, squatting down. Since the smart technology was not ready for this turn of events, the software failed.
Why the program failed
Sensors on the floor transmit a signal about a visitor’s presence in the toilet cubicle. When the man with the legs climbed up on the rim, the smart mind thought that the inside was empty again. The disinfection function was activated. Startled, the tourist jumped to the floor, which again confused the smart car. After disinfection according to the plan, the TA began to supply hot air to dry the space.
By the way, the visitor was not injured, but went berserk, later sitting for several hours locked in the cabin while he was rescued by rescuers (they had to open the vandal-proof door with an antigen).
How to fight addiction in other countries
In Europe, people from the CIS countries have already paid attention to their way of climbing on the toilet rim with their feet. That is why in Finland, gas stations have pictures with inscriptions showing how to use the toilet.
